Busy April

In April we journeyed to eastern Washington. We took our trailer and stayed at Yakama Nation RV Park in Toppenish. It's a very nice park complete with swimming pool, sauna, jogging trail, as well as other tourist activities in the area. It's one of our favorites. However, we were there mainly to celebrate Mom's 88th birthday. She had come to visit my brother and his wife for a few days. We enjoyed the usual birthday celebration complete with dinner, cake, etc. The final touch was a serenade by a young neighbor of theirs, Cale Moon. He is an up and coming western singer who is quite talented. He has just made his first music CD. He sang several songs for us and even did a little stand-up comedy. It was quite enjoyable.

A few days later we headed back home, bringing Mom with us. She stayed here for several days and then I took her back to her home in western Washington. Had a good time there, visiting with family and friends.

Mom, by her apartment door. The frog was a birthday gift from my sister.
