Home Sweet Home

Abraham Acres...I would love to picture acres and acres of rolling hills and lush green pastures surrounded by white board fences, nestled among the foothills. But no....in reality it is a 2 1/2 acre, oddly-shaped chunk of dirt (mostly clay) in rural Washington County. It is nestled in the foothills, and it is green much of the time, but more importantly it is home, and has been for almost 3 decades.

Besides Pete, me and my two stepsons (Kurt and Erick), over the years it has also been home to several horses, two llamas, one guinea pig, many cats and dogs, one flighty rooster and even a stray pig who wandered in and stayed a few days before moving on.

The boys are grown now and on their own, and most of the animals are long gone. Now it's just us, along with our 4 year-old Papillon and an old mama cat. Although our nest is empty, our life is full. Besides just kicking back and enjoying home, we also love camping, RV travel, and working in the yard and garden. Last year we welcomed our first grandchild, Kylie, to the family. She and her mom and dad live in Southern California, but a web cam, phone calls, and pictures keep us in touch between visits. And now a blog....the possibilities are endless!
