First Camping Trip This Season

We finally found time to sneak away for a few days. We took the 5th wheel to the beach on Monday. We camped near Neskowin on the Oregon coast. The weather was pretty good for this time of the year in Oregon. It rained only 1 day. The rest of the time the sun was out and the weather was beautiful.

This was our "shake down" trip to be sure everything works in the trailer before we head out to uncharted territories. So far, so good. Only minor additions needed for next time. Our only mishap was a missing bar-b-q. We planned on having bar-b-q burgers one night only to find that the bar-b-q wasn't in the trailer. Not a big deal. Fried burgers were almost as good.

The trip wasn't nearly long enough. I had to be back for my Friday shift at the Family History Center, so we came back Thursday. I'm ready to go again any time. This weekend, being Memorial Weekend, will be a stay-home weekend for us. We plan on planting the garden and doing some much needed weeding in the flower beds and strawberry patch.
